The company history began in 19th century at Bystrzycka Street in Świdnica. Previously, it was the place where the German Hugo Roithner & CO.factory, ran their business based on the production of wooden products such as sports articles, exercise equipment, toys and children`s furnitures.
In 1945, due to the change of state borders after the end of the war, the factory went under the Polish management, continuing production in Lower Silesian Furniture Factory.
In 1977, in consequence of the minister of economy decision, the company was incorporated in Zakłady Radiowe DIORA. At these time, the main domain of the company was to fulfill the requirements of national electric industry, regarding the production process of cabinets. Mainly, the company delt with TV cabinets, radio- broadcast receivers and loudspeakers.
In 1981, the company status was changed into Diora- Świdnica LTD. Since then, the company’s business has been independent. This was the time of development and implementation for selling company`s own construction of loudspeakers and cabinets for radio and television equipment. The successful debut of the proprietary products has become an incentive to deepen the market.
In the 1990s another successive loudspeaker designs were made – for instance – the legendary POLARIS series. Outstanding quality of implementation and design products have increased interest in the company and its products by foreign customers. In the mid-90s, there was a rapid development of cooperation with foreign customers, and the share of exports in the Company’s turnover gradually increased to over 90% of the Company’s turnover.
Since 2008, the company makes a number of technological and organizational changes, significantly improving production quality and productivity. The main domain is the production of loudspeaker cabinets. Specialized, certified furniture for schools and kindergartens under the Dioralino brand and under the brands of foreign buyers are also offered.
The company moves to its new headquarters at Towarowa 32 Street in Świdnica. The production is transferred to a modern factory which is a new quality in terms of technical solutions, for instance: reducing energy consumption and allowing for further quality improvement. The company has been a supplier for well known audiophile brands for years. The main products of the company are still the loudspeaker cabinets. The main production is supplemented by the production of specialist children’s furniture.
